Due to COVID-19 pandemic and the highly contagious and unpredictable course of the novel coronavirus, Brandywine Pediatrics has changed its procedures for seeing more potentially contagious patients. All patients with fevers, respiratory symptoms (such as coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath), GI symptoms (such as vomiting, diarrhea) will be seen by a dedicated physician in the “sick pod” of the day or in an isolation room, with no overlap with routine healthy visits. We know that there may be contagion from healthy or mildly sick appearing patients, so we are striving to separate families from others as much as possible. We are minimizing waiting room times and cleaning all furniture as well as exam rooms between patients. To accomplish this, we may ask you to wait in your car until your appointment time or use a different entrance than previously. You will receive instructions when you schedule your visit. Thank you for understanding and for helping us keep everyone as healthy as possible!
