Dear Patients and Families,
We send this letter with a mixture of sadness and excitement to announce our retirement at the end of this year, after 35 years (Dr. Simonetti) and 28 years (Dr. Irwin) in medicine. And after more than 25 wonderful years in practice together, yes, we are leaving together.
It has been an honor to care for all of you—patients, parents, and families. We have cherished every moment spent supporting your children and getting to know you and your families. Your trust, support, and kindness have meant the world to us.
However, life is about change. While we will deeply miss (y)our children and watching them grow, these memories will always be a part of us. We now eagerly anticipate the next chapter of our lives and the new challenges and rewards it will bring.
We are pleased to introduce Dr. Jorge Jara Kudin, who will be joining Brandywine Pediatrics in our place. Dr. Jara Kudin (“Dr. Jara”) joins us from Nemours Children’s Hospital, where he has been providing compassionate and high-quality pediatric care for seven years. He speaks both English and Spanish fluently, is married, and has a 4-year-old son. He will also be welcoming a new baby into his family in December! We are confident that Dr. Jara’s extensive background will further enrich Brandywine Pediatrics’ standards of excellence that you deserve and have come to expect.
