Dr. Lehane was excited to return home and join Brandywine Pediatrics in 2010. She was raised in Wilmington, attending school within the Brandywine school district. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware with degrees in Biology and Liberal Studies. Thereafter, she pursued her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into the prestigious AOA honor society in 2003. She then finished her training by completing a pediatric residency within the Harriet Lane Clinic at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Following her residency, Dr. Lehane spent three years working as an Assistant Professor within the renowned Paul C. Gaffney Diagnostic Referral Service at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. While there, in addition to caring for patients with a broad range of pathology, she also actively participated in medical student and resident education. Her focus throughout was on providing excellent patient care, and she was honored to receive a Patient Satisfaction Award in 2009.

After spending a wonderful year in San Diego where she refocused on the provision of primary care, she returned to Wilmington and takes great pride and joy in practicing within her hometown community. As a mother of two children, she is fortunate to split her practice time with Dr. Kate Chaplinski and maintain a great work-life balance.
